Morso Stoves are manufactured in Limfjord area Denamrk on the island of Mors for over 150yrs. The name Morso to Danes is synonymous with a quality cookers and iron stove for over 100 years.
The Morso Foundry A/S originally founded by N.A. Christensen and in the beginning manufactured anything iron from Barn Windows, Memorial Cross, Solid Fuel Cookers, to pots and pans.
Mr Christensen was a particularly astute business man and he saw the future in the production of warmth. He saw early the need to supply heat in domestic houses. He navigated his company in the direct of supplying a quality manufactured Solid fuel Stove which even received the Royal seal of approval in the Danish Court.
The stoves have always been constructed in Cast Iron and Morso will continue to be for a number of well thought out reasons.
But Morso stand out with its quintessential Danish design.
In 1944 the famous Danish designer Kaare Klint was first commissioned to design a wood burning stove for Morso. This was followed in the 1960s when Moro commissioned Sigard Bernadotte and he eventually came up with a design an exquisite enamelled wood burning stove.
In 2008 the Danish design artist Monic Ritterland collaborated with Morso in the design of their modern stove range.
